GOOSE

The goose is part of the waterfowl family, and there are many different species. The female is known as a goose, the male a gander and the plural of goose is geese. When geese fly in flocks, this is known as a ‘string’ or ‘chevron’ of geese due to the V-like formation they form when in flight.
